Dr Gero Kollmer advises AIF management companies, fund managers, family offices and institutional investors on the structuring and launch of alternative investment funds (AIFs), with a particular focus on M&A and real estate funds. He has extensive experience in regulatory implementation under the German Investment Code (KAGB) and AIFMD, including prospectus and PRIIPs documentation, as well as in supporting authorisation and notification procedures before BaFin.
In addition, he assists clients in complex transactions, particularly in the acquisition and sale of corporate holdings and real estate. His practice focuses on the legal implementation of share and asset deals, forward structures and the related financing and security documentation. This dual perspective – investment regulation and transactional practice – enables him to provide seamless advice from fund structuring and investment execution through to regulatory market placement.
